All Cadillac V-Club members are invited to join our next Zoom web conference for an online meeting with the Brembo North America Team.

This Tech Talk will cover the Brembo products for Cadillac V-Series vehicles and include a Q&A session.

Brembo is an industry leader in high performance brake systems for cars and motorcycles worldwide. Maintaining Brembo brake components on a Cadillac V-Series vehicle protects the exact performance, safety, and chassis balance engineered by General Motors and Brembo. The partnership dates back to the original 2004 CTS-V, making Brembo systems a core part of the V-Series DNA rather than an aftermarket addition.

Thermal Management and Fade Resistance - V-Series sedans and SUVs (like the CT4-V, CT5-V, and Escalade-V) carry significant weight alongside massive horsepower. Brembo designs its high-carbon cast-iron and carbon-ceramic rotors with specific internal ventilation geometry to dissipate heat rapidly under hard use. Switching to lower-tier aftermarket pads or rotors often causes brake fade, rotor warping, and vibration during high-speed braking or track runs.
Electronic Integration (ABS, eLSD, MagneRide) - Modern V-Series models rely heavily on active chassis management, including Magnetic Ride Control and the Electronic Limited-Slip Differential (eLSD). These systems perform subtle, millisecond brake vectoring to stabilize the car while cornering.OEM Brembo brake pads are friction-matched to work within the specific torque curves and tolerances expected by Cadillac's brake control algorithms (ABS and StabiliTrak).Non-OEM friction materials can alter pedal feel, throw off brake-torque expectations, or compromise torque-vectoring performance.
Optimized Unsprung Weight and Dynamics - Brembo constructs its monobloc aluminum calipers and multi-piece floating rotors to minimize unsprung weight at each wheel corner. Keeping this mass down helps your suspension react faster to road imperfections, directly benefiting the handling crispness Cadillac intended.
Pad Material & Noise, Vibration, Harshness - Cadillac V-Series OEM Brembo pads use bespoke compound formulations designed to balance intense track bite with quiet, street-friendly operation. Cheaper alternatives often introduce excessive brake squeal or heavy, abrasive dust that quickly ruins factory wheel finishes.
Resale Value and Vehicle Authenticity - For performance enthusiasts, seeing factory-spec Brembo calipers, rotors, and pads is a major selling point. Cutting corners with low-tier replacement parts degrades the resale appeal of a V-Series badge, as buyers generally look for authentic factory upkeep.

With the continued support of Cadillac headquarters and Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club, the Cadillac V-Club will be hosting our 6th annual members only event at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy in Pahrump, NV to experience the exhilarating drive of Cadillac's newest performance V-Series machines, the Cadillac V-Series Blackwings!

Space is limited to the first 18 members who RSVP register with 9 driver slots reserved for members who purchased a new CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing from an authorized Cadillac dealer which includes a tuition paid trip to the V-Performance Academy. You must provide your VIN# which will be used to verify the "in-service date" of your Blackwing and the date of purchase must be within 12 months from your in-service date. If you have previously attended using your VIN#, you are not eligible to attend this Blackwing Experience event.

The remaining 9 driver slots are reserved for members who purchased a pre-owned V-Series vehicle and have never attended the V-Performance Academy. This is a "bucket-list" type of experience and well worth the cost of tuition especially at the discounted rate you will pay as a member of the Cadillac V-Club.

This "two day" Cadillac V-Club Blackwing Experience is an incredible opportunity for you to put the most powerful Cadillacs ever to the test at North America's longest racetrack.

Designed for drivers of all experience levels, the challenging curriculum and precision-focused track-time focuses on improving the drivers’ capability and confidence level in not only their Cadillac V-Series Blackwing, but in any vehicle.

With the perfect balance of informative classroom sessions and on-track exercises, this comprehensive program will increase your driving expertise.

If you have purchased a new Blackwing from a Cadillac dealer and your date of purchase was within the last 12 months, you are eligible to receive a tuition paid trip. This experience includes:

Tuition - 100% of your tuition is paid for by Cadillac
Lodging - Includes a 2-night stay in an on-site condo at Spring Mountain MRCC
Meals - Breakfast, lunch & dinner daily included in your stay

If you do not qualify for a tuition paid trip as a new Blackwing owner, your tuition cost will be subsidized by Cadillac off the normal rate to attend the academy.

The Cadillac V-Club in partnership with Hooked on Driving (HOD) will provide you with an experienced instructor to help guide you through the event, one on one, as you learn how to handle your car at the limit. You set your own goals and only go as fast as you feel comfortable going. Progress as far as you wish in your own car at your own pace, become a safer driver on the street, and have a blast along the way!

High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) refers to a track day held on a dedicated road racing track designed to teach drivers proper high speed driving in a controlled environment.

HOD offers the best and longest running Beginner/Novice driving program in the industry! (HOD believes in 1-on-1 coaching, and great classroom downloads. Don't settle for "lead-follow." We'll get you up to speed quickly and safely)
Low Car Count Run Groups!
Lunch included for all drivers (Bringing a guest? They can eat with us too, just grab an add-on lunch)
Stay Cooler! (We'll have a dedicated Air-conditioned hospitality suite and allow drivers to run windows up on track!)

The cost to participate will be determined by the HOD run group you select.

Do NOT try to get up at 4:00 am and make a long drive to the track. Go the night before and stay nearby so you can arrive fresh. This will be a long and exhilarating day… we don’t want you napping after lunch!!

Wear sunscreen and bring apparel for any changes in conditions.

Be early to the meetings. Get to know the drivers next to you in the paddock.

Experienced drivers will be super helpful to you – but only listen to our Driving Coaches for your introduction on track technique. Feel free to ask about other cars, or if you find one like yours, ask about what they’ve done to it for the track.

TDX does provide in-car coaching for all novice drivers during your track day. The fee for this one-on-one coaching is $50 per event day. This group sells out quickly, so register early. they are happy to help any solo driver as well with coaching assistance.

Helmets for club members will be $30.00 For the day or $50.00 for the weekend.

Sebring is renowned for its rough surface. The course still runs on old sections of World War II-era landing fields that were constructed of concrete sections with large seams. The transitions between sections are quite rough and often, sparks fly from the undercarriages of the cars as they traverse them. Much of the track has intentionally been left with its original concrete runway surface. The track surface has 3.04 miles (4.89 km) of asphalt and 0.7 miles (1.1 km) of concrete. Mario Andretti, a 3-time 12 Hours winner, said that one of the hardest parts about the original Sebring track was finding the track to begin with! There had been many accounts of drivers retiring due to accidents at night, quite simply because they got lost on the runway sections and couldn't find the track again. Some drivers got lost even during the day, mostly because the track was poorly marked down with white lines and cones.
