No speed limits, no pedestrians, no stoplights, but best of all – no tickets. The Cadillac V-Club in partnership with Hooked on Driving (HOD) will provide you with an experienced instructor to help guide you through the event, one on one, as you learn how to handle your car at the limit. You set your own goals and only go as fast as you feel comfortable going. Progress as far as you wish in your own car at your own pace, become a safer driver on the street, and have a blast along the way!

Mobil 1 High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) refers to a track day held on a dedicated road racing track designed to teach drivers proper high speed driving in a controlled environment.

The cost to participate will be determined by the program level you select and you will be provided with an experienced instructor, classroom sessions in between run groups, and over two hours of dedicated track time plus classroom instruction.  Registration is open to all Cadillac V-Series owners.  Non-members of the Cadillac V-Club are required to pay a $100 fee and will receive a one year local chapter complimentary membership.

The Novice program ($375) is for drivers who are new to driving on a racing circuit, or only have one or two previous events. The full day program includes classroom instruction throughout the day, on-track drills to help you learn some basic skills before you drive at speed, in-car instruction, and of course several sessions at speed. This program includes in "in vehicle" instructor in the passenger seat.

The Intermediate program ($275) is tailored towards drivers who have mastered the basics, and includes classroom instruction throughout the day, as well as in-car instruction.  You will be driving solo with an instructor leading the group to set the pace.  To register for this program you must provide evidence of your track driving experience or certification.

The Advanced program ($275) includes a mix of drivers who have worked up the skill ladder and may even include drivers with competition licenses.  However, we do not allow competitive driving (racing) in this group. Aggressive, late passes, dropping two tires regularly, pouncing on a slower car’s rear bumper, blocking or being unpredictable are all unacceptable. The key attribute of the Advanced program is COOPERATIVE DRIVING. This group includes drivers who are experienced in road racing and work together for fast laps around the track. Slower cars hold their line, and sometimes will lift a bit early on corner entry to make the pass easy for the passer. To register for this program you must provide evidence of your track driving experience or certification.

In order to participate, you are required to RSVP and pay in advance of the event via the CadillacVClub.com website.  Your entry is not guaranteed until your payment is received.  A wait list will open for RSVP registration when the event is full.

We are estimating this event to sell out so if you want guaranteed entry, don't delay your registration.  Be sure to read our cancellation/refund policy.  No exceptions to this policy unless we can fill your spot by moving a member off the wait list.

This is an excellent opportunity to test your track driving skills in a safe environment behind the wheels of your Cadillac V.  Hooked on Driving offers a curriculum that goes beyond that of typical performance driving schools.  The programs are designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes techniques and skills you can apply with the assistance of your in-car instructor.  Classroom sessions are brief but informative. You will leave this event with improved driving confidence in yourself and your Cadillac V-Series vehicle!

ABOUT RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK

Development of the 170 acre site began in earnest in 2009. Asphalt for the road course was laid in November 2011. 2012 was the first full season of operations, with a fully booked calendar of events including car club lapping days, driver training schools and sanctioned auto and motorcycle races along with other bookings. The road circuit was penned by Steve Crawford, designer of Thunderhill Raceway Park and is 40 feet wide, 2.47 miles in length, with 16 turns, and has over 300 feet of elevation gain and loss per lap, including the 50 foot plunge down the Ridge Complex. Each lap of the Ridge Motorsports Park road circuit thrills with high speed straights and sweeper turns, huge compressions and blind weightless crests, challenging esses, a long carousel turn where you walk the tightrope between speed and grip, a double apex turn leading to another valley and cresting turn leading into a heavy braking zone, a short sprint between tight turns and finally a breathtaking plunge down the ridge into a technically difficult sequence of turns, before going hammer down on the front straight again! All of this in a park-like forest setting, with stunning territorial and mountain views.
