Join the Austin and San Antonio Chapter (ASA) of the Texas V-Club for our annual holiday dinner event.  This year we are meeting in New Braunfels, Texas on Sunday, December 11 at 6:00 PM at the Gruene Door restaurant.  The cost of your meal and and a non-alcoholic beverage is complimentary of Ken Batchelor Cadillac and the V-Club.

All V-Club members may bring 1 guest at no cost if you have a single membership and if you have family membership, you may bring your immediate family members at no cost.

Together, the chefs at The Gruene Door create clean and simple, yet diverse flavors.  They strive to use local and seasonal ingredients as much as possible, some coming from their own garden. They take pride in creating their fresh dishes in house. New menu’s and frequent specials keep both the guests and the chefs satisfied.

You will enjoy a most memorable dining experience so we hope you can join us to celebrate the holiday.

This year we are going to follow the lead of the DFW Chapter by including the option for you to participate in our "White Elephant Gift Exchange", limit one gift per member/family.  Be sure to bring a gift valued at no more than $15 to exchange. If you are not familiar with a "white elephant gift exchange", it is a "Yankee Swap" Christmas party game.

GIFT EXCHANGE RULES:

In its most basic form, the game is as follows: each participant brings one wrapped gift. The gifts are placed in a central location, and participants draw numbers to determine in what order they will take turns selecting them. The first person opens a wrapped gift and their turn ends. On subsequent turns, each person can open a new present or gets the choice to "steal" another person's unwrapped gift. When a person's gift is stolen, that person can either choose another wrapped gift to open or can steal from another player. The game is over when the last person goes and the first person goes again. Since the first player is the only one without the option of seeing any unwrapped gifts, this player is allowed to take one final turn after all gifts have been opened and swap with any "unfrozen" gift.

In order to speed up the game, only 2 steals are allowed per gift. Gifts are typically inexpensive, humorous items or they can be an inexpensive "cool item" that generates a lot of "steals".   The term white elephant refers to a gift whose maintenance costs exceed its usefulness.

We have some door prizes to award to all members who have RSVP'd and every V-Club member who has RSVP'd to attend one of the holiday event celebrations this year will receive the following "grand prize":

One V-Performance Academy package – valid for attendance in calendar year 2017… approx. value $3110. Covers tuition, ground transportation, and overnight accommodation for one (1) participant.  Airfare not included. Participant may bring a non-driving guest for free, or add the guest as a driver for a nominal tuition cost. Deadline to RSVP is Sunday, December 11.

You must RSVP to attend this event by registering via the TexasVClub.com website.   Space is limited so please don't RSVP and be a "no show".  If you RSVP and then your plans change, please be sure to cancel your registration so someone who is on the stand-by list can attend.
