Golden Gate Lotus Club Autocross Event 3

Golden Gate Lotus club has opened registration to non-members and that means you can bring your Cadillac!

I'm inviting Cadillac V-Club members to come out for participation or spectating.

Crows Landing offers a large area for a coned course that favors the higher horsepower and higher weight of our Cadillacs and you are guaranteed to have fun!

Autocross is one of the safest motorsports there is. All cars run independently for time on a coned course. There are very few obstacles that could cause damage to your car if mistakes are made. Most people take out a few one foot tall cones when they miscalculate a turn or a braking zone.

No special prep for your car is required except that it is in road worthy condition. Expect no noticeable wear on your car except maybe a little extra tire wear.

I'll be there to help you get your feet wet if you've never autocrossed before. I can provide both in and out of car advice and there will be other experienced drivers available for instruction.

Keep in mind that drivers are also required to work the course (picking up knocked over cones) during their non-driving group session. This involves standing for approximately 1-1.5 hrs and occasionally hustling to fix a downed cone.

Helmets are required for participants! If you don't have one and want to order something cheap yet meets the safety requirements, I suggest an appropriately sized version of this helmet:

- Select "FUN" for the class unless you know your class
