In Austin, TX, at the new COTA, Cadillac Racing got off to a strong start as driver Johnny O'Connell took victory from pole and Andy Pilgrim charged for a third-place podium. During round two, O'Connell retired due to a mechanical failure, but Pilgrim finished with a strong second place. In Detroit, the team added three more podiums over the weekend, including one O'Connell victory from pole position.
