If the event is full, you will have the option to be placed on a wait list. RSVP registration is open only to active members of the Cadillac V-Club. - I acknowledge the tuition is $2500 and commit to pay the fee.

With the continued support of Cadillac headquarters and Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club, the Cadillac V-Club will be hosting our 3rd annual event at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy in Pahrump, NV to experience the exhilarating drive of Cadillac's newest performance V-Series machines, the Cadillac V-Series Blackwings!   This year we are inviting all Cadillac V-Series owners to RSVP register.  All non-members are required to pay a $100 fee to RSVP and will receive a 1-year Single Level Membership in the Cadillac V-Club.

For this upcoming event we are offering a choice of two different sessions based on driver experience.  Day 1 will be for Novice & Intermediate drivers and Day 2 will be for Advanced drivers.  

This "one day" Cadillac V-Club Blackwing Experience is an incredible opportunity for you to put the most powerful Cadillacs ever to the test at North America's longest racetrack. This full-day experience will be structured similar to the former Cadillac V-Performance Labs and is bound to impress by balancing luxury and high-adrenaline performance driving in a renowned country club setting.

Under the guidance of world-class instructors, we invite you to experience the exceptional Cadillac V-Series Blackwings!  This is an invitational only restricted participation event limited to the first 36 Novice/Intermediate drivers who RSVP.  The 2nd day Advanced session is limited to the first 18 drivers who RSVP.  Helmets & Hans devices are provided by the V-Series Academy. 

CELEBRITY INSTRUCTOR - JOHNNY O'CONNELL

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, O'Connell started racing in the Formula Atlantic series in 1987, winning the Championship and Rookie of the Year. He also spent 1996 in the Indy Racing League, racing in the Indianapolis 500 and finishing in the top 10 in half of his 4 starts.

He is a three-time American Le Mans Series champion and four-time class winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving for Team Cadillac in the Pirelli World Challenge. Johnny led Team Cadillac to four championships in seven years  which is very impressive. His first race for GM was in the Corvette at the 24 hours of Daytona in 2001. Corvette won that race overall. Johnny went on to win Le Mans, Sebring, Petit Le Mans, Championships at Corvette and continued on with Cadillac doing the same.

From 2012 through 2015 Cadillac won the PWC Manufacturers Championship each year. Since joining GM as a professional driver, he has won 63 races which is quite an amazing feat. Johnny has two children (Canaan and Kelly), one of whom (Canaan) made his professional racing debut at Pirelli World Challenge TCB Class at MRLS 2016.

DAY ONE - Novice/Intermediate Only

This 1-Day Novice Blackwing Experience for V-Club members is designed for drivers of all experience levels. The curriculum focuses on improving drivers’ capability and confidence level through a series of classroom, paddock and track activities, all while providing a safe and fun environment to learn precision driving that can be applied in any vehicle. Participants will be able to experience both the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models.

DAY TWO - Advanced Only

The Advanced Blackwing Experience is tailored for members whom have attended a minimum of 2 HPDE (High Performance Track Experience) courses with additional track day experience at the 2-day V-Performance Academy or an SCCA instructor led event.  This 1-Day Advanced Blackwing Experience builds on the foundation of the standard curriculum by extending the track time and expanding on racing techniques to get the most out of the performance capabilities of the Blackwing. With open-lapping, you’ll learn how to safely and properly pass other drivers without being guided by your instructor. If you’re interested in track days and faster speeds, this advanced driving experience is for you.

For Day 1 or Day 2 you may bring 1 guest who may observe but they are not allowed to drive the vehicles or ride with you as a passenger.  However, your guests will be allowed to take hot laps with instructors (if time permits).
Novice/Intermediate Day One: Friday, October 20, 2023
Discounted Fee: $1,250 per driver (normal 1 day Novice/Intermediate fee is $2000) 
Group Size: 36 drivers

Day One Arrival Date: Thursday, October 19 by no later than 5PM. There will be a National Cadillac V-Club Zoom call will start at 5:45 PM (dinner with Special guest will start approx 7:00 PM..do not miss it)

Advanced Day Two: Saturday, October 21, 2023
Arrival Date: Friday, October 20, 2023
Discounted Fee: $2,500 per driver (normal 1 day Advanced fee is $4500)
Group Size: 18 drivers

Day Two Arrival Date: Friday, October 20 by no later than 5PM (dinner with Special guest will start approx 6:00 PM.. do not miss it)

NOTE:  Flight reservations/tickets should be refundable or changeable should the event date need to be changed or the event is cancelled for any reason.  Each participant is responsible for rental car expense to travel to/from the event.

  • Experience both the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models
  • Skidpad, on-track and classroom sessions rotated by groups of drivers based on track experience
  • Autocross competition with prizes at the end of the day
  • Catered breakfast and lunch for you plus one guest
  • Gourmet dinner reception at the Club House at 7pm on Thursday, 10/19/23 for you plus one guest

AGENDA - DAY TWO (Advanced Drivers Only)

  • Heavy focus on lead follow and track time
  • PDR review with coaches to define areas of opportunity
  • Catered breakfast and lunch for you plus on guest
  • Lead follow with instructors and without instructors
  • Focus on more advanced racing techniques
  • Gourmet dinner reception at the Club House at 7pm on Friday, 10/20/23 for you plus one guest

NOTICE: The Cadillac V-Club must have a minimum of 22 paid drivers to host the Day One Novice/Intermediate Blackwing Experience event and a minimum of 12 paid drivers to host the Advanced Blackwing Experience event on Day Two. If the required number of paid drivers is not achieved, Spring Mountain MRCC reserves the right to cancel and refund all payments.
